Dance Etiquette
When dancing at our dances and workshops, please follow these easy rules for a fun and safer dancing experience at Chasers Charlotte NODA.
No drinks on the dance floor as spilled drinks can make the dance floor sticky and slippery. If you have a drink (whether in a cup or bottle) please set it down, or finish it, before stepping on the dance floor.
If you're not dancing, please move off the dance floor. Feel free to chat or watch the dancers, but please do so off the dance floor.
Partners/Couples, please follow the line of dance which is counterclockwise around the perimeter of the dance floor as shown in the diagram below.
Line dancers, please dance in the center of the dance floor leaving room for the partners/couples to dance around you as shown in the diagram below.
If you bump into someone while dancing, please apologize and continue dancing.
Dance powder is not permitted at Chasers Charlotte NODA.
During dance lessons, please do not have side conversations as this is disrespectful to the instructor and it also disrupts the class. If someone is struggling, let them ask the instructor for help as others may be having the same issue.
Please do not go up the steps to the DJ booth as this area is for Chasers Charlotte NODA employees only (and their designated delegates).
Music requests can be made using the SCC Music Request Form
